All media personnel are required to provide information for media accreditation and media equipment clearance. Accreditation for all media personnel will also be done online from 30th July, 2021.   1. Importation of Media Equipment

 i) All delegations travelling with official media (i.e. photography and video services) need to accredit online. The list of Official Media Personnel and their respective equipment should be submitted to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. not later than 30th July 2021.

ii) Media equipment brought into Malawi for the purpose of covering the 41st Ordinary SADC Summit will not be liable to any customs duty. However, it is important that Customs Officials receive this information in good time.

 iii) All media equipment to be brought into Malawi should be declared at the port of entry.

  1. Media Centre

A Media Centre dedicated to the Summit will be available at the Bingu International Convention Centre, where the accredited media personnel can access media facilities to ensure smooth coverage of the event.

  1. Media Accommodation

Member countries are requested to inform their media that the Government of Malawi will not be providing accommodation for the media. Download Media Application and Accreditation Form
